Worksheet text stays in your browser

Worksheet generation happens in your browser using JavaScript. Text typed into the worksheet field — including names and practice text — is drawn locally on the preview and print canvases; it is not submitted to our analytics endpoint or stored in a site account or database.

Preconfigured worksheet links use a URL fragment (the part after #), which is not sent in the page request. The page reads that fragment locally and removes it from the visible URL before analytics loads. Older query-string preset links remain supported, but should not be used for private or sensitive text because hosting providers can record requested URLs in normal access logs.

Google Fonts

This site loads display fonts (Dancing Script, Caveat, Patrick Hand) from Google Fonts CDN to render the worksheet preview. This causes your browser to make a network request to Google's servers. Google's use of this data is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Analytics and tracking

We collect limited first-party interaction events to understand whether the generator works. An event can include the page path, event type (for example, page view, button click, field focus, or JavaScript error), a short element label, timestamp, and a random session identifier. The identifier lives in sessionStorage and expires with the browser session. The event tracker does not send the worksheet text or the selected field value.

We also use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic such as page views, referrers, device types, and clicks on the links that lead to our checkout. That click event records only which button was used and the fixed checkout address it points to — never the worksheet text or anything else you type. Google Analytics is operated by Google and may process identifiers and set cookies; see Google's privacy policy for details.

Microsoft Clarity session replay is disabled on this site. Google AdSense and advertising cookies are also disabled in the current release.

Email sign-up

The home page has an optional sign-up form for new printables. It is entirely optional — nothing on this site requires an email address, and every worksheet and generator works without one. The form collects only the email address you type; we do not ask for a name, and the worksheet text is never attached to it.

The form submits directly to Kit (formerly ConvertKit), which stores the address and sends the emails on our behalf; their handling of it is governed by Kit's privacy policy. Sign-up is double opt-in: Kit emails you a confirmation link, and you are not added to the list until you click it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time using the contact address below.

Submitting the form also records a first-party event noting that a sign-up happened, in the same way as the other interaction events described above. That event does not include your email address.

Cookies

Our first-party interaction tracker does not use cookies. Google Analytics may set cookies to distinguish sessions and measure usage. We do not currently load advertising cookies or use session-replay cookies.

Hosting infrastructure

Handwriting Printables is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect standard server-side access logs (IP addresses, browser type, request timestamps) as part of normal CDN operation. These logs are not controlled by Handwriting Printables. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Third-party links

This site contains links to other tool sites operated by the same developer. Those sites have their own privacy policies.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for parents, teachers, and other adults creating worksheets for children. Do not put private or sensitive information into a shared preset link. Text typed directly into the generator stays in the browser as described above, and the site does not provide child accounts, profiles, messaging, or session replay.

Changes to this policy

Material changes to this policy will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
